That’s right, Angel is competing for the title of Best Roller Of The Year (B.R.O.T.Y). He’s got mad rolling skills and is often called the “FLASH” both because he rolls balls at unfathomable speeds and because he sometimes flashes a little nipple when he’s rolling well. So, come one, come all and support your favorite Ball Buster and MVP Ball Buster as he rolls for it all next Sunday February 22nd at ACE Bar. I leave you with a little Angel the Broty theme song. You open fire on those balls Angel! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!

Bring It Yankskees!!!
Bring it on Yankskees because we are going to bring the pain tonight. And just to prove we’re serious, we’re going to name our rolling hands like the fighting Irish name their fists! We’re going to be so super annoying with our celebration dances that even Chad (Ocho Cinco) Johnson will have embarrassment chills run through his body. We’re going to win!!!! Here is just a taste of what you’ll witness tonight! 8:30-9:30pm vs. Yankskees

Tonight let’s show everyone what our balls are made of!
Blood, steel sweat and sometimes tears are what OUR balls are made of. That’s what enabled us to move out of last place last week and into lucky slot number 18. And that’s what’s gonna take us to the top tonight baby! Angel, you just keep working your magic and working at getting your cherries back as often as you can. Matt, you start calling those hundos like you’re the motha f’n Babe of Skee. Tara, you keep bringing the spirit and I’ll try to bring a little something more to the team then my extensive knowledge of movie quotes and skee ball lingo! Lets roll some balls!

This Just In…The Highest Roller In Our Division Is (Drum Roll) ANGEL!!!!!!
That’s right, and he’s on our team!!! It was a Ball Busting night last night Angel nailed a Full Circle, got his Cherry back and (wait for it) WE WON! Angel topped the charts again and is THE Highest Scoring Roller in the Wednesday night division. Matt is the Highest Hundo Roller and Emily is glad she picked some Ball Busting biatches to bring her the big “W.” Was it the warm December night or the magic of the team finally being reunited? Or was it the Two Boots pizza or the shots? Or maybe it’s the sweet as new shirts! (thanks Matt). Anywho, bring on the next game because the Ball Busters are ready!!!

A New Day Is Upon Us, A Day Of Ball Buster Reckoning!
On this day of Ball Buster Reckoning, I find myself turning to the eloquent words of Jules from the movie Pulp Fiction… “And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my (Ball Buster) brothers. And you will know my name is the (Ball Busters) when I lay my (Skeeball) vengeance upon thee.”
Today is the day that we will come together as a team like the guys in Cool Runnings but draw on our individual strengths like the Power Rangers do. Angel will roll his lightening fastballs until he gets all his cherries back. Matt will use his long rubberman limbs to put each and every ball gently into the hundred point holes for which they are destined to fill. And Emily will summon up her best talking shit moxie and center her steely cold focus on the 40’s and 50’s. The spirit of Jules will surely be with us today…“Oh, I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?”
Let’s hear it For The Girl!!!!!!
Angela (aka Balls-to-the-wall-ela) took her skills to the ramp last week in style! look at that form!!! Eat your heart out Jolie! It was the first match of the Skeeson and it was a little bit of a rough start as our bodies re-acclimated to the ball holding, coddling and releasing formations but in true Ball Buster style, we ended the match being …..consistent! Yes, we lost….buuuuuuuut the first game is a warm up game. Right? Right? Despite the “L” we did have some high scores with Angel taking a “High Roller” standing and Matt topping the “Frame High” and “Hundo” chart. Look out Hundo Bloom because Hundo-Bloom-Eating-Matt is comin’ for ya!

Viva La Ruptura da Bolas! And Viva Portugal!
La Ruptura da Bolas (that’s Portuguese for Ball Busters) kicked ass in the Rollympics. The Portuguese people are probably still praising our names and celebrating our tremendous win last Wednesday night. No need to do a double take, you read it correctly. We finally got our first legitimate “W” of the skeeson. In fact, we increased our score by such a huge margin that the officials labored over our score sheet looking for a calculation error. But they found nothing. One bystander suggested we were taking performance-enhancing drugs but they found nothing. La Ruptura da Bollas were merely lifted up by the support of the Portuguese people who only asked that we spread our wings and soar. And…we did. Angel took back his Cherry AGAIN and Matt kicked ass line driving down the middle. Emily sunk a couple of hundreds and Angela was the ultimate Superfan and Portuguese liaison. Check out the pictures and watch the Rollympics Opening Ceremony. Good luck tonight Ball Busters – just pretend that the Portuguese people are right there rolling with you tonight!

Skee-Ronne Returns To The Game After 25 Years Of Retirement!!!!
At age 3 Tyronne, (aka SkeeRonne) cashed in his 1259 Chuck-E-Cheese skee- ball tickets to take home the coveted 6-foot tall Odie doll (you know, Garfield’s dog…come on!) Realizing a performance like that would be hard to top, he retired from Skee-Ball and focused on other sports like Cheese Rolling, Chess Boxing and Ladder Racing. Despite his immense success in Ladder Racing, he always regretted not pursuing a professional career in Skee-Ball. Tonight he will get a chance to rekindle his love for skee and the world will see if he can bring home a coveted beer koozie (the equivalent to a child’s 6ft Odie, of course). Good luck tonight, Skee-Ronne and the Ball Busters! Roll on!
1983, Skee-Ronne winding up to roll the final ball that would seal the fate of his skee ball career and gain him the coveted Odie doll.

For one night only, His Majesty’s Roller has ascended upon the game of skee…
Hailing from the ghetto streets of Manchester, England, His Majesty’s Roller shows no mercy. For those of you who don’t know HMR; let me paint a picture for you. He’s sort of like the Ben Kingsley of skee.
HMR didn’t have it easy. There were no summer skee-ball camps or Chuck E. Cheeses’ in jolly old England. But that didn’t stop HMR. He knew from the first moment he saw skee-ball played in the background of a scene in Pee-Wee Herman’s Big Adventure that skee-ball was his life’s calling. Because there were no skee-ball machines in England, HMR was forced to develop his skee skills by rolling well rounded rocks down a descending alley into Heinz Bean cans. The town of Manchester declared HMR “mad” and “Cack-handed” but he held tight to his dream of one-day skeeing in the big leagues. All that work and thick skin paid off because tonight, His Majesty’s Roller is going to roll for it all when he rolls with The Ball Busters. And we wouldn’t dare call him Cack-Handed!

There's a new team in town...
-and it's called the team of kicking ass and taking names!
While the ladies are doing their downward dog and warrior poses, this skeeson’s Ball Buster team are working out the old fashioned way. With beer and skeeball. Our livers have been training all off skeeson and are wrists are loose and ready to roll. And so far all this training is paying off. Look who’s in 16th place and on the rise and wait a minute, isn’t that a Ball Buster holding first place and 4th place in the art of rolling hundos. 29 Hudos Matt!!! Woo hoo!! Ballbuster’s also hit the frame high list with Matt’s frame high of 39! Wowsers! Anywho’s, I think we can safely say goodbye to our naked David Beckham motivational poster and start putting up some “W’s!” Keep putting em’ in the holes Ball Busters and we’re sure to get some hot skeeball action! Skeeson Wrap Up and Highlights!
Ok, so we did better this Skeeson but not good enough to move out of last place and into some other place, any other place. Nonetheless it was a great skeeson filled with many great moments. Here are the top 10 moments from this Skeeson in no particular order.
1. Winning, Ball Buster style when an opponent “called it” first.
2. Emily utilizing her double joints in speed skeeball mode.
3. Jenn’s balls growing wings and taking names in flight
4. Benson sporting hot pink Ball Buster leg warmers.
5. Getting over 600 in each game. (a low goal maybe, but a goal reached nonetheless).
6. Angel–Peggy kicking ass and showing us the bumper ball move.
7. Peggy discovering unusually large digits.
8. Learning that it’s better to get the balls into the higher number holes.
9. Coming closer to discovering the perfect combo of drinks that makes each of us roll a little better each time.
10. The Charlie Brown Christmas tree, make-up skee, darts, pool, dog training, dinner and new friends.

Angel-Peggy Is A Ringer!!!!!
Who knew that hanging out at Chuck E Cheese until age 25 would pay off in a bigger way then finally cashing in a lifetime of tickets for an oversized Garfield doll. But last night Angel-Peggy's childhood hobby became The Ball Busters saving grace (well, almost). We were very close to winning last night thanks to Angel-Peggy's high rolling and bumper-loving style. I even heard someone say "it's like his balls have wings." It was a fun night and though we missed our girl Peggy, she was there in spirit and points with Angel-Peggy!

Tonight The Part Of Peggy Will Be Played By Angel!
The Ball Busters are not faring well this skeeson. Winter flu has swept our team and taken no mercy along the way, causing us to forfeit two games. Ouch! Even our alternates’ alternates were sick. But tonight we are coming back with a vengeance with the help of one of our seasoned alternates. Angel will make his rolling debut tonight and he has promised to not only bring his A game but his B, C, D and E game as well. And he looks good in a skirt! I feel an upset coming on!

Becks Shall Remain Clothed…. For Now!
Maybe we should move the chains around a little. Set less lofty goals. Like, instead of trying to win a game, maybe we should try to get above 700 points in a match or maybe we should just practice a bit more. Roll some balls on other nights of the week.
Or maybe…(this is still a theory and it hasn’t been tested) but there appears to be a direct correlation between drinks consumed and skee-ball rolling ability. The more we consume, the better we roll. But how many drinks and what type of drink will be the perfect combination that produces a stellar game? And will each roller need a customized combination? When’s the cut off point? Is it when a roller is telling child molester jokes or when they are no longer rolling in their lane? And if the perfect combination is mastered, is it considered a performance-enhancing drug? Thirty-two years from now will we be defending our skee-ball glory days by claiming that we thought it was flaxseed oil that we were drinking? While there are several possible consequences to exploring this theory (headaches, blurred vision, slurred speech, future drug accusations, etc.) I think it’s worth a shot if it means we have a chance to win a game and take off some of Becks clothes. So let’s do it. Let’s start this study at our next game. If not for a chance to win at skee-ball then let’s do it for science and all of mankind.

Would You Skee Like A God If The Reward Is Seeing David Beckham’s Package?
Ok so we lost last night buuuuuuuuuut we played really well, it was a very close game and we finally broke 600. So… as team captain I have found a way to motivate the Ball Busters to really step it up in our upcoming games. This technique was created for a little team called the Cleveland Indians (maybe you’ve heard of them). They were once also called bush league and they went on to win the division title! So I’m pretty sure it will work for us. I present you with David Beckham – The Motivator. That’s right ladies, all you have to do is win a game and a piece of Beckham’s clothes come off. From his sweatband to his pretty pink briefs, DB is ready to support the Ball Busters! The question is; are you ready to support DB?

There’s a New Ball Buster In Town
Meet Cindy Lou, aka “The Ringer.” She’s The Ball Buster’s newest alternate and she’s ready to tear shit up! She’s petite but man does she know how to score points. After last weeks loss (of sorts – we still feel like winners and I feel like a double-jointed god) we decided it was time to bring in the big guns. So check out her form in this youtube video and as soon as we can get a silly little ID situation sorted out, you will be able to see her roll with The Ball Busters on Wednesday nights. And for those of you who are hoping we will make it to the championship this skeeson, I have great news. We are currently not in last place sooooooooo, I’m saying there’s a chance.

Another Skeeson, Another Chance For Glory!
Tonight we take on Monica Lewinskee 3 and I hope those ladies (or gents) are prepared, because there’s no way to sleep your way to the top in this match. (Get it? Monica Lewinskee and sleeping to the top? eh? eh? nothing?)
In case you missed it, The Ball Busters effortlessly took last place in our rookie skeeson and we're positive that there is no place to go but up this skeeson. Why? Because along the heartbreaking road to last place, we learned some things about skeeball, each other a little bit about ourselves.
We learned that we need to get the balls in the holes with the numbers on it and the higher numbers are better. That 2.5 drinks will improve your roll. That Benson doesn’t like to share beavers. That cheering is contagious annnnnnd slightly obnoxious. That wearing sunglasses at night is only cool if your Corey Hart. And most importantly we learned what it means to be Ball Busters! Put em' in the holes tonight ladies and lets start this skeeson off with a win!

INCONCEIVABLE!!!!
And yes, that word does mean what I think it means. And I’m using this wonderful word because The Ball Busters were left off the schedule for tonight’s match up. That’s right. “Rock, Paper, Skeezers” were listed to play no one. Is it because we continue to be in last place and are therefore unforgettable to the scheduling gods or maybe it is because we caused such a raucous last week that even we couldn’t hear each other talk.
Whatever the reason was, it is INCONCEIVABLE and we’ll make sure everyone knows who we are when we roll up and when we roll out tonight (and hopefully in between when we are actually rolling).
We’re here, we’re loud, we’re proud and we’ve got nowhere to go but up! BALLBUSTERS! Put it in the Hole!!!!

And Then I Said….We’re Like the Mike Eruzion(skee) of Skee Ball...
For those of you who don’t know Mike; Mike Eruzione was the captain of the USA Hockey team (miracle on ice) that won the gold at 1980 Lake Placid taking down the USSR. And in our match against Skeeeeeeeeeechiro we would have made Mike proud. No, we didn’t beet out Skeeeeeechiro but we did cause a bit of a raucous.
We sported new intimidating Ball Buster t-shirts, we had our Ball Buster entourage in tow and Jenn even whipped out the harmonica. And we almost won –ish. Ahhhh…but the Skeechiro played well and even though we rattled their balls a little bit they still won the game (sorry Mike). The good news is we (The Ball Busters) are learning and getting better. We can rebuild. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic Ball Buster skee ball team. Better than we were before. Better, stronger, faster. BALL BUSTERS!!!!!
You've been Ball Busted Skeeeeeeeechiro!
The Ball Buster Entourage
New Shirts thanks to Angel and James!!!
